These pineapple buns are a yummy treat. I ordered these on the recommendation of a friend, and very glad I did. I got the mango pineapple puffs (3/5), matcha puffs (4/5), taro bun (2/5) and pineapple filled (5/5). The mango puffs were way too sweet for me but did have a really good authentic mango flavor. The taro filling reminded me of raw sugar cookie dough flavor which Im not a fan of. The matcha puffs and pineapple filled bun were my favorites. The pineapple added a nice texture inside and the flavors were less sweet than the mango. The buns themselves were all light and fluffy. None of the buns were bad, just didnt suit my personal tastes. Next time I go, Ill just get a plain bun and a pineapple filled.

I visited Pineapple King Bakery for the first time with some friends from out of state, and it was an absolute treat! The moment we walked in, we were hit with the delightful aroma of fresh pastries, and we knew we were in for something special. The selection of sweet pastries was incredible--everything from flaky croissants to decadent fruit tarts. I personally tried the Custard pineapple bun, and it was divine! The perfect balance of sweetness and texture made it melt in my mouth. My friends tried a few different items, and each one was just as impressive. We couldn't stop raving about how fresh and flavorful everything was. The bakery itself was charming, with a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff who made us feel welcome right away. Whether you're local or just passing through, Pineapple King Bakery is definitely worth a visit. It's the perfect spot to indulge in some sweet treats with friends!

I wish I had come earlier in the day, so as to be able to sample a wider selection, but that said, what I did get to try at 5pm was all delicious! I tried the mango pineapple puff and the matcha pineapple puff and they were both so tasty!! The matcha puff was particularly excellent and I definitely wish I'd had more than just one! Word to the wise: go early.

One of my coworkers wanted to try this place since there wasn't a line. I was a bit hesitant because I remembered the buns being cold and not fresh. We ended up sharing the 菠蘿四式 Deluxe Box ($8.00), which included a Mini pineapple bun with butter, Original puff, Mango puff, and Matcha puff. I tried the Mango puff and I was pleasantly surprised! +Warm, fluffy bun +Crunchy top crust +Good amount of refreshing mango custard filling -Cash only if you order in-person My coworkers enjoyed theirs too. *Verdict: If I was in the area, I'd stop by again to see if there were any freshly baked buns.
